David Beckham's Latest Blog

Hi everyone

It’s been a while since I was last in touch, but I’m happy to report the rehabilitation is going well and the physio is pleased with my progress.

I’m currently in Milan and catching up with some of the Milan squad. While the title dream is over, the final game over the season is at home to Juventus, which promises to be a great match, with a third place finish looking likely this season.

The lads at The Galaxy have started the season brilliantly, seven wins and a draw from our first eight games. We’ve opened up a nine point lead at the top of the Western Conference, long may it continue.

Next stop for me is Zurich, this Friday I’ll be presenting England’s 2018 bid document to FIFA. The bid book outlines the technical details and the vision of the bid and it’s an incredible honour to be asked. It would be amazing if we can help deliver the 2018 World Cup to all England’s passionate fans and I’m really proud just to be involved.

Take care

Video: David's Time in Afghanistan

David Beckham Supports the Troops

A very humble David Beckham crossed the pond once again this week but this time he was not heading to London, infact, he was on his way to Afghanistan. The England midfielder posed for pictures and signed autographs for troops in Camp Bastion, Helmand Province, where around 9,000 British soldiers are based.
David was given a tour of the camp and a lesson in how to handle weapons.

"You know I've been here just one night so far and the experience has been even more than I could have ever hoped," said David. "To see the morale of the troops is really incredible. It first kind of hit me on the way over when we were on the military plane flying in to Afghanistan. You can see the faces, you can see obviously they know they are leaving their families, but they're so focused and they've got this look in their eyes that they're just so confident and just ready. That really is an unbelievable sight to see, and you feel it as well."

He said: "Just yesterday one of the troops was killed, and you feel it and you see the flags at half-mast and you feel the tension there. It really is, like I said, amazing to be around but you feel the love from everybody. It just really is scary work. These guys are the bravest people that I've ever met and it really is, it truly is, an honour to be here."

Recap: Happy Mother's Day

After returning home from a business trip to London, Victoria Beckham was just in time for Mother's Day. To celebrate the stylish mother of three, David took his wife and sons to lunch at Bounchon Bistro in Beverly Hills in their Rolls Royce convertible.

David Beckham Wishes You All a Happy Easter

Hi everyone

I’m now back in LA and it feels good to be back with the family.

I’ve been working hard with the doctors and physios and the injury is progressing well and I’m on track, which is good news.

Last Saturday I was at the Galaxy match, supporting the guys. The win was very welcome and I’m hoping to be back playing as soon as I can, trying to help the team go one better than last season and win the Championship.

We’re currently on a family holiday, which is nice and relaxing, but I just wanted to take time out to thank everyone for their continued support and best wishes, it means so much.

Hope you have a happy Easter whatever you have planned, take care.

David Beckham Memorializes His Grandad in Ink

When out for dinner with his three young sons last week, there was something new and different about David and no, I'm not talking about his cast and crutches.

On the soccer star's right arm, the word "Grandad" was written. This tattoo is to memorialize his grandfather, Joseph West, who passed away late last year.

Becks was extremely close to Joe and often cited him as his ssoccer inspiration.
